My first day of the ‘7 days of Nature Challenge‘ We nearly trod on this Black Headed Python as we strolled up to see the Mary Kathleen Mine. The mine is well worth a look although, you need to be vigilant and not disturb the residents if possible.
Did you know that our cuddly Koala Bear has been added to the endangered species list? We need to do all we can to protect these Australian icons. The safety of the Koala cub is important as they are born blind and cannot protect themselves.
We call them Koala bears, although they are actually a marsupial mammal and not a bear. In other words, related to the Wombat and Kangaroo. We saw these guys hiding high up in the trees near St Laurence in Queensland.
